Public Service Announcement: Yesterday OP Police Department came across a case where someone spoofed the Overland Park Police Department's phone number and impersonated a law enforcement officer. The "officer" then directed the victim to pay for loans and buy gift cards. The reporting party did not fall victim to the scam, however,

we wanted our citizens to be aware.
