The Morningview Homes Association provides trash collection as part of the annual dues assessment.  Normal pickup day is on Thursday.

bulletIn you have any questions or problems with service you may contact Town and Country Disposal directly at 816-380-5595.
bulletTrash will be picked up at the curb.
bulletThere is no limit to the number of containers you may put out.
bulletAll trash, lawn waste and recyclable material should be placed outside before 6:30 A.M on Thursday or put it out the night before.
bulletTree limbs should be cut into lengths of 4 feet or less, and tied in bundles not to exceed 2 feet in diameter. Individual limbs must be less then 4 inched in diameter.
bulletThere are extra fees for special bulky item pick-ups.  Contact Town and Country Disposal for details.
bulletTrash will ALWAYS be picked up on Thursday every week even if a holiday falls on Thursday.
bulletUnder ordinary circumstances, rather than call a Board member about a missed pick up, please call the disposal service directly yourself (see telephone numbers on the first page). However, in the event that the problem has become a recurrent one, or is of an unusual nature (discourteous behavior, etc.) please contact us at once!

Bulky Trash Pick Up

From time to time Morningview may have a bulky trash pick up. Items such as couches, hot water heaters, and will be picked up. Cement and automobiles will not be picked up. For this pick up only all items must be placed at the curb.

In addition the City of Overland Park may also provide both bulky trash pickup and hazardous waste disposal. Watch your mail for details.

Recycling

The City of Overland Park provides a curbside recycling service. The pickup is the same day as the normal trash pickup. Please call Deffenbaugh Recycling at 913-631-3300 to request this service.

Drop-off recycling is available as follows:

bulletNewspapers, office paper, phone books, aluminum and Steel cans, #1 and #2 plastic containers, glass containers and laser toner and ink cartridges: Community Living Opportunities, 6900 W. 80th St.
bulletNewspapers only: 95th and Metcalf (N.E. corner by Jiffy Lube), 9510 W. 67th St. (by Monogram Credit)
bulletUsed motor oil: All Jiffy Lube and Western Auto Stores, Wal-Mart on 119th St.
bulletAluminum only: Reynolds Aluminum, 4203 Merriam Lane
bulletPaints, solvents, flammable liquids, pesticides, poisons, acids, corrosives, etc.: Johnson County H.H.M. Facility, by appointment only, call 913-492-0402.
